Xiaomi and Polyphony Digital have announced a significant collaboration at the first round of the Gran Turismo World Series 2025. Under this partnership, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra - the high-performance luxury electric vehicle from Xiaomi EV - will debut in the globally recognized racing simulation game Gran Turismo 7 for PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®5, marking the first time a Xiaomi vehicle has been featured in this game.

Gran Turismo is widely regarded as one of the most realistic driving simulation games in the world, with engineering metrics that reflect real-world performance. The influence of this game extends beyond the gaming industry, driving automotive innovation and safety while bringing together car enthusiasts worldwide. Thus, the inclusion of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra reflects the growth of high-performance electric vehicles that embody intelligence in the automotive industry.

Mr. Kazunori Yamauchi stated, "We are extremely pleased to begin our collaboration with Xiaomi. The Chinese automotive industry is advancing rapidly, and Xiaomi has created an outstanding vehicle in the Xiaomi SU7, which is a crucial part of a comprehensive smart ecosystem that includes smartphones, wearables, and home appliances. Furthermore, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Prototype has broken performance records at the Nürburgring. Witnessing these achievements has left me deeply impressed by Xiaomi's courage, eagerness to discover new things, passion, and relentless dedication to achieving these goals. This spirit resonates profoundly with the philosophy of Gran Turismo and Polyphony Digital."

Mr. Lei Jun remarked, "We wholeheartedly agree with Mr. Yamauchi's visionary philosophy of creating a better society through technology, which perfectly aligns with Xiaomi's mission to enable everyone in the world to enjoy a better life through accessible technology and innovation. We look forward to introducing Gran Turismo players and car enthusiasts to the potential of high-performance smart electric vehicles like ours."

In announcing the partnership, Mr. Kazunori Yamauchi emphasized the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra as a standout vehicle in the smart electric car segment, stating that its competitive performance at the Nürburgring Nordschleife showcases the formidable engineering capabilities of Xiaomi EV.

Xiaomi, a global technology leader, has created a complete "Human x Car x Home" ecosystem in 2024 with the launch of its first smart electric vehicle, the Xiaomi SU7, and the top-tier Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, which integrates Xiaomi's proprietary innovations, including the Xiaomi HyperEngine V8s (27,200 RPM; 578 horsepower; 635 Nm) - a three-motor system developed and customized by Xiaomi. With a total power output of 1,548 horsepower, a top speed exceeding 350 km/h, and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.98 seconds, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra holds multiple track records for four-door vehicles.

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is designed with a maximum of 21 carbon fiber components (covering an area of 5.5 square meters) for optimal weight distribution and meticulously crafted luxury, perfectly blending driving performance with elegance. The R&D team of Xiaomi EV has rigorously tested technologies such as Torque Vectoring and Adaptive Damping at various racetracks, including the Nürburgring Nordschleife, to ensure that safety in real-world use and excellence in handling are translated into the driving experience.

To deliver a world-class product that offers both outstanding performance and safety, the R&D team of Xiaomi EV has continuously tested the development of this electric vehicle across various tracks, including the legendary Nürburgring, to assess the vehicle's performance. The team has improved vehicle performance multiple times, resulting in proven technology from these professional racetracks that will be systematically applied for production, transferring race-derived engineering to road-usable vehicles.

Performance testing at world-renowned racetracks serves as the ultimate testing ground for car brands to enhance technology and quality. Xiaomi EV firmly asserts that excellent lap times are not just a measure of electric vehicle performance but also represent technological excellence, unparalleled quality, and superior safety standards.

At the same event, Mr. Zhou Chan Ren, head of vehicle testing and head of automotive development at Xiaomi EV, stated, "Our team will continue to be stationed at the Nürburgring to relentlessly improve our products and push the boundaries of what is possible in high-performance luxury vehicles."

Gran Turismo 7 will incorporate the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra into the game through a collaborative development process with Xiaomi EV, simulating its luxurious aesthetics and realistic driving experience. This high-performance electric vehicle will debut in Gran Turismo 7 and be available for players worldwide to experience. In the future, Xiaomi and Gran Turismo will continue to collaborate on the development of the Xiaomi VISION GRAN TURISMO automotive concept.
